The Longchamp factory in Segre

June 25th, 2011 | 2 Comments

We were lucky enough to visit the Longchamp factory in Segre for a second time, in June 2011.  There have been great changes since I was there over 10 years ago, with a big new warehouse facility, new cutting machines, and more staff.   And some sheep who keep the grass down! The craftsmanship is just as incredible to witness – the fine, detailed, painstaking handwork that goes into every piece of Longchamp.  And the town of Segre is still charming and rural, just over two hours from Paris on a TGV…  There was a school tour while we were there, as Longchamp is very involved with the local community.  Finally  we were treated to lunch in the ‘little house’ with the worldwide head of manufacturing.  A fascinating day.

    Hi Dirk,
The factory visit was for distributors and agents, I’m afraid they don’t do public visits as far as I know.
